Steiner Ranch

Why do so many families call Steiner Ranch home?  I ask myself that same question when my husband and I were looking to move to Austin from Dallas.  I started on a long tedious quest of trying to find everything I could about Steiner Ranch.  I needed a home that had great schools, great families, reasonable downtown access, healthy living and the feeling of community.  I found all of those things in Steiner Ranch.  Driving from my home to the entrance of Steiner, you will literally see dozens of people out running, walking and biking every day rain or shine.

Steiner Ranch has three incredible elementary schools.  Laura Welch Bush Elementary, River Ridge Elementary, and Steiner Ranch Elementary.  All ranked exemplary in 2010 and 2011.  Also, within the Steiner Ranch community is a middle school.  Canyon Ridge Middle School, which also ranked exemplary in 2010 and 2011.

Steiner Ranch is comprised of approximately 4,600 acres between FM 2222 and Mansfield Dam on RM 620.  Located about 25 minutes from downtown Austin. Amenities include three community centers each having swimming pools, changing, shower and restroom facilities, lighted tennis courts, picnic and playground areas, basketball court and volleyball area. We also have a Lake Club on Lake Austin which includes day use boat docks, lighted pavilion, barbeque pits and playground. Miles and miles of scenic nature trails for hiking and biking surround the Steiner Ranch community.

Steiner Ranch is one large community with smaller communities.  I have included most if not all here.  Sierra Vista, Savannah Point, Savannah, Las Brisas, Rio Mesa, Towne Hollow, River Heights Overlook, River Heights Grove, Shire Ridge, Parkside, Majestic Oaks, Estates at Westridge, Hills at Westridge, The Headlands, Canyon Glen, UT Community, Lakewood Hills, Summer Vista, The Bluffs, Bellagio Estates, Santaluz, Tierra Grande, Montery, Belcara, Palisades, Azure Shores and Mediterra.  Some are gated, others with incredible views.  Each one gives you the wonderful feeling of community.
